Jim Braum

J im and Carol Braum and their family moved into the home in 1997. Jim had received a B.A. degree in Bible in 1974 from Geneva College and an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 1997 from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He was a heavy equipment partsman on the Alaska Pipeline from 1975-1976. He came back to Kansas and was in partnership with his father on the family farm south of Denison, from 1977-1996. He is President of the Valley Falls Cemetery Association and past president of the Valley Falls Chamber of Commerce and Valley Falls Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Kansas Funeral Directors Association and a Life Member of the Valley Falls Historical Society.
Carol occasionally assists at the funeral home but spends her days as media specialist at Holton High School. Jim and Carol are members of the Winchester Reformed Presbyterian Church. They are the parents of three daughters, Heather Braum, Lindsey (Chris) Heineken, whose children are Logan and Madeline, and Katie (Mike) Lee.
