Holton-Twila Ielene Conger passed away April 4, 2012 at Stormont Vail Hospital Topeka. Twila was born July 1, 1926 in Netawaka the daughter of Fred H. and Hattie (Wood) Beman. She lived in Whiting and then moved to Netawaka, KS. where she graduated from Netawaka High School.

Twila moved to Holton when her mother decided to quit farming. She worked for the Gossip Printer, Brown & Brown Clothing and cleaned for several businesses and people around Holton for years until retiring.

Twila married Lloyd L. Conger August 3, 1953 in Holton KS. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Andrew Leon Conger and her sister Nellie Jackson.

Survivors include her sons, Leonard A. Conger Ottawa, KS and Leon E. Conger and his wife Suzanne of Holton, KS; her daughter Hattie M. Manchester of Holton, KS; 7 grandchildren, Jenny, Jared, Mathew, Linsey,Shiann, Sam and Sammy and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in the Netawaka Cemetery.
