Gale F. Kling, 69, of Topeka, KS passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at a Topeka care facility. He was born January 10, 1943 in Holton, KS the son of Francis S. “Barney” and Mildred (Sproul) Kling.

Gale graduated from Soldier High School and had attended Washburn University and Kansas University. He had lived most of his life in the Topeka area as a self-employed business man. He was a member of the Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church and a member of the Circleville Masonic Lodge.

Gale married Brenda Tolin on April 3, 1965 in Soldier, KS. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Kristan Smith (Eric) of Topeka, KS; a brother, Leland Kling (Debbi) of Topeka, KS; a brother-in-law, Ben Tolin (Lois) of Cortez, CO; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Evan Smith and six nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Soldier Cemetery. A memorial luncheon will follow the services at the Soldier City Hall. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
