Gerald L. “Jerry” Anderson, 71, of Holton passed away Thursday July 26, 2012 in Topeka.

He was born November 19, 1940 in Holton the son of Arthur L. and Geneva B. (Meier) Anderson. Jerry attended and graduated from Whiting High School. On June 25, 1960 he married Doris J. Mosher in Whiting. They celebrated 52 happy years together this June. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a machinist for 40 years. He attended Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton.

Jerry is survived by: his wife Doris of the home; his daughters, Susan Huerter (Joe) of Topeka, KS and Natalie Johnson of Topeka, KS; his sister, Linda Mannell (Burt) of Holton, KS; his brother, Wendall “Bill” Anderson (Alice) of Topeka, KS; his grandchildren, AJ Huerter, Nathan (Kala) Huerter, Collin Huerter and Natasha (Jeff) Johnson; and his one great-grandchild, Kendall Johnson. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Anthony Huerter.

Memorial Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday July 30, 2012 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with inurnment following in Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service time beginning at 12:30 p.m. Monday.
